Sunday was the 3rd week of our current series WiRED, and the 50th service since our first Sunday at the House! It was a big day with many big wins. Here's just a few:
- The weather was gloomy and raining and people still showed up STRONG.
- Again...many first-time attenders.
- LOVE that our crowd is filling out the middle of the sanctuary...thanks ushers!
- The worship band opened with 'Everyday People' and it absolutely rocked. Loved it!
- A couple of real cool Dr. King video segments. The first of which was out-of-house. Very innovative, very dramatic, if hard to understand at times.
- Natalie did a great job with the transition between a high drama video piece, and communication cards, putting everyone at ease. Thanks for keeping the service together and keeping it moving!
- Chris did a fantastic job receiving offering for the first time!
- Message was tight, short, concise and to the point. It really felt good today, flowed well and felt like we strongly and clearly conveyed God's heart for the purpose of community.
- Podcast was EASY to edit Sunday night.
- Great staff and leaders meeting tonight at the Annex. We looked hard at some steps we can take to keep first-time attenders returning. Look for lighting improvements throughout the Cinema, and positive changes to our nursery and pre-school environments in the coming weeks.
- We are blessed to have the leaders and staff that we have at Crossroads. We are all fortunate to be doing ministry in an environment where we constantly ask, "How can we do this better? How can we be more effective".
- Real excited about Group Link this Sunday!
- After getting killed in offerings for the last three weeks...we cried out to God. The result? We received the LARGEST Sunday offering EVER at Crossroads! (And, trust me, it could not have come at a better time).
- Thank you God for Your awesome provision! Thank you Roadies for loving God and proving it!
Have a fantastic day tomorrow. For those who are privileged to have the day off, we encourage you to use it to honor God and to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., through kind and generous acts of service. Make your day off, a great day ON! For those that have to work tomorrow...I pray that the Holy Spirit would empower you to bring your highest level of energy, effort and enthusiasm to your job, so that you can truly do what you do, as unto the Lord!
