Paul, what can you say about that scripture other than sobering! Paul was the soldier of Christ, turned from killer to follower and then Proclaimer! He never counted anything as a gain, counted suffering as a badge of honor! This letter he was writing and the significance of it has been so misused over the years! Sickening if you ask me! Because no matter what he faced, no matter how outmatched he was he said this one statement, I can do this, because Christ gives me the strength to do it! I think we read the statement he made without really reading what it says! I CAN DO THIS! I CAN DO THIS! Whipped, jailed, beaten, rejected, alone, hopeless, in despair and Paul says I CAN DO THIS! What strength, it gives validity to the writing because Paul wasnt just saying something cool to put on a t-shirt, or a bumper sticker, or he didnt say it so that it would be a good theme for a youth week or a message, for Paul I CAN DO THIS meant LIFE! He meant this is where I am in life and I CAN DO THIS! Through CHRIST, through THE WAY, through THE TRUTH, through THE LIFE! So Bro you are in good company, YOU CAN DO THIS! YOU CAN DO THIS!
