I was talking to someone earlier in the week. We talked about this phenomenon of feeling like you are on one side of a great chasm, and God and your future are on the other side. We know that CHRIST is the bridge between man and God. But what then is the bridge between a man who has trusted Christ, and that man's future in God?
We concluded that FAITH is the bridge that spans the chasm between our current reality and the future that God has promised. Reason says, "Man, that chasm is so wide you can barely see across it, and it's so deep you can't see the bottom of it, and if you step off the edge you'll die".
Faith says, "I am confident I can walk across this chasm because I can already SEE myself on the other side"!
