Week Two of our December series 'JOY' was kickin'! Had the traditional technical glitches, but things smoothed out quickly and some BIG THINGS happened today. Some quick takes:
- Two people made first-time decisions to trust their lives to Christ, and six people re-dedicated their lives this morning. (NOTE: That number is based on communication cards turned in).
- TONS of first time visitors today (in what is becoming a pretty common sight at Crossroads - and we're so grateful for it)!
- New volunteers in just about every area are really making things work. So many fresh faces coming alongside long-time Roadies to get the job done. Thank you!
- Attendance is staying STRONG through the holidays as well as giving!
- Remember that turning point we talked about seven weeks ago, when we said, "There's a whole new vibe in the sanctuary"? Guess what? It wasn't temporary. We've caught a wave here. Hang ten and dig it!
- So great to hear about Crossroads family getting together throughout the week and helping each other out. That's what it's all about.
- We had a lot of regulars out that carry a big weight on Sunday. Lot of folks under the weather. Two things: 1. Thank you to all who stepped up and made Sunday special, and 2. Pray for God's healing on those in our church who are fighting off the crud!
- MATT MENDENHALL IS COMING HOME TUESDAY!
- The spontaneous Crossroads Touch Football League was able to add girls to the on-field action when the spontaneous Crossroads Touch Football League, became the spontaneous Crossroads FLAG Football League on Sunday afternoon (think about it). Thanks to those who brought the flags!
- In a display of awesome generosity - seperate and apart from your regular giving - a special offering of $640 was received for Dothan Police Officer Damon Woodham, whose house burned down last week. That's Roadies being blessed to be a blessing! I am so honored to get to pastor this church! So proud of all of you and blown away at how you all responded. Way to represent Christ!
- Great Staff and Leaders meeting tonight! So excited about the year ahead. Much more to come on that.
Thank you for all who work so hard to make the Crossroads experience unique and special for all who attend. If you're just getting started at Crossroads, I encourage you to bring your talents and abilities and plug in as we celebrate the goodness of God, and reach our community for Christ! Have a great Monday!
Haha. I was one of those girls that played football yesterday...let's just say I am VERY sore today.
