NO QUESTION.

"I am the resurrection and the life.  Anyone who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die.  Do you believe this?" (John 11:25-26)

What a great question: Do you believe this?  The question was directed to Martha in the context of the death of her brother Lazarus, whom Jesus would raise from the dead.  Easter Sunday is all about the Resurrection of Christ and, as theologian Thomas Torrance writes, "What Jesus is in His Resurrection, he is in Himself. The Resurrection was not just an event that happened to Christ, for it corresponded to the kind of person He was in His own Being".  One Christian blogger paraphrased Torrance this way: "It was impossible for Jesus to remain dead, because being resurrected was part of who he was."  Awesome! LOVE THAT!!  No wonder Lazarus came out of the tomb (John 11:43).  What else could he do?  Jesus is the resurrection and the life.  No question about it.  The only question is...do you believe this?

I believe, and I am so excited about Easter Sunday at Crossroads. Two services, 9:00AM and 10:30AM.  Can't wait!!  Still time to invite BIG!  See you there!
