COMMUNICATION CARDS ROCK!

Great weekend!  As happens each week, we received a TON of communication cards. These cards are such an important part of what happens at Crossroads each week. They are a way for first, second and third-time attenders to announce their presence at Crossroads, a way for people to connect in important ways at Crossroads, a way for people to express their concerns, and most importantly a way to celebrate decisions and share important prayer requests.  Every Sunday afternoon I personally read every single communication card turned in, and it's a privilege and an honor, and a high point in my life.

Every Monday morning, all of the information for each Communication Card is logged into our church database management software.  From that data we are able to hook people up with the resources available at Crossroads.  We're able to connect people to our E-mail blasts and a host of information like important upcoming events, service opportunities, small group information and new series topics.  Because of Communication Cards we are able to identify and respond to new attenders, reach out to them through the mail and personally thank them for coming to Crossroads, and follow-up with those who have made decisions.  And me and Leslie and the leadership team at Crossroads is able to join with you in prayer concerning the things that you're concerned about.

Communication Cards are SO important.  So SMILE as you fill yours out next week (even if it's for the bazillionth time) knowing that your actions might just make a first-time attender feel comfortable filling out their card.  And while you're doing it, celebrate with me the fact that through this important link, we are better able to connect with God, with each other and with the world around us!

Stayed tuned...  Tomorrow, I'll share with you something really important and interesting inspired by a comment on a Communication Card from last Sunday's service.
